The first contest comes soon, and I am impressed to see more angels than demons in the place... I wonder how will the future of this place might be... I encourage to keep sending notes to make your entrance to the gates of disgaea. I think we do have members to start a small contest in the mean time, just stay tuned, I'm not dead and I shall arise. Some more rules to come too.

Welcome to Disgaea.
Even though this might be considered a club, I'm most likely looking forward to emulate as much the Disgaea environment as I can: The settings (Netherworld, Earth, and Celestia) the classes (humanoids and monsters), and the Assembly.
----------
***How to join***
Sending a note, however... you must specify your address, whether Netherworld, Celestia, or the Earth. This will be a crucial choice because you WILL NOT be able to change this.
The place you choose to go will open the gates of different contests and close you the doors of some other places so be careful.
***Having Pupils and Mentors***
This is about the only way you could get to participate in other worlds of Disgaea.
Being a Mentor grants you higher possibilites of having a seat in the Assembly, the odds lower as you get more pupils.
Being a Pupil grants you the partial access to the goods of the part of Disgaea your mentor is in. Example: If you are a Demon (From Netherworld) and have and Earth Mentor, you, as the Demon, are able to enter Earth contests or discussions. There can be mixed results. If you and your mentor are from the same place, the mentor is given more strenght into getting to the Assembly, and the pupil is not affected... think wise before having yourself a Mentor, you can change them as much as you want, but it could trigger havoc in Disgaea. The Mentor cannot choose his pupils.
-The pupils are the ones that choose their mentor. To do so, the wannabe pupil must:
*Send a note choosing the mentor
*Wait the mentor to agree (Bribe is allowed)
-The pupil can be removed only by:
*Having the mentor kick him out
*The pupil choosing to change the mentor (And so repeat the step above)
***Assembly***
The Assembly (Not just Dark, but celestial and from Earth) will be randomly chosen, always taking these points to consider.
*The most powerful mentor of each place
*The most participative members
*Well, random picking
The Assembly will be constituted of 12 to 16 members and the number can be constantly turning a couple of numbers up and down... this doesn't mean the Assembly will be incorporated with exact mixes, so there can be 6 Celestians, 2 Demons and 5 Earthians. They will have the power to judge contests and have the quality vote for some of the following
*Contest ties
*Direct contestant place (?)
Note: Not always we will take the upper characteristics to choose the Assembly, it can be changed from time to time so anyone can have the chance of having power.
***Contests***
The contests will be held in two stages.
*First Stage: Battle of Worlds
For example, we're having a drawing contest... so every party of Disgaea (Netherworld. Celestia. Earth) will start amking drawings and submit them in the name of their place. However, as Disgaea has three big divisions, which makes impossible a fair play, there will bea Direct contestant place. This can be any of the three places, but it will be put to the Assembly to choose... how? Example: (Given a 12 members assembly)
Netherworld: sum the difference between yays and nays of the assembly: 3 nays, 9 yays = 6
Celestia: 4 yays, 8 nays = -4
Earth: 6 yays, 6 nays = 0
In this case, the Netherworld advances as the Direct contestant place and the Battle goes like this:
1st Battle.- Celestia Vs. Earth----Winner goes against Netherworld, Loser gets to the 3rd place fight
2nd Battle.- Netherworld Vs. Winner of First Battle---- Winner goes to the champions fight, losers go to the 2nd place fight.
How does the fight develops? as following...
The number of drawings on the section will fight another number of drawings... however, the battle must be fair... ant that means the crew has to pick the lowest number of drawings the crew did. However, if one crew did not bring any drawings, it will be disqualified. Examples.
Netherworld: Brought 4 drawings
Earth: Brought 6 drawings
Celestia: Brought 2 drawings
--So each crew must pick on their own, which drawings are there to fight, but they have to be 2 (The lowest number of drawings one crew did (Celestia with 2)).
Then, with open votation.... we'll give a certain amount of votes, the first that gets to the number is the one to win the fight... the crew with more winning drawings is the one to advance. In "Winning drawings" tie case, the quality vote goes to the Assembly, they will know what method to use to pick the winner (Bribe is also permitted, wonder how)
((Left off in here. Now continuing.))
*Second stage: Internal battle
Once the Battle of worlds is over... the battle between the crews are started.... all the drawings on the section are going to fight for the place. Keeping up the example, let's say that in the "battle of wars" (1st stage) the rankings were the following:
1.- Celestia (2 drawings)
2.- Netherworld (4 drawings)
3.- Earth (6 drawings)
The battle between the crews will begin, but only Celestia will fight for the first place, Netherworld for the second place and Earth for the third. Here, the voting gets a bit more confusing, but with detailed info you might catch it up (Who said Disgaea was easy?)...
1.- Only Earth and Netherworld will vote for Celestia's drawings.
2.- Only Celestia and Earth will vote for Netherworld's drawings
3.- Only Celestia and Netherworld will vote for Earth Drawings.
However, remember that the pupils of a place can get involved into this... for example. An Angel, as pupil of a Demon, can vote for Celestian drawings as a Demon (like if the Angel was part of Netherworld)
If You're Part of:
Netherworld
*You can...
*Wander through any world without remorse. This actually means that you are able to go to other land's users (Celestia or Earth) and even interact with them. (This is for future reference on MSN/AIM chats we'll be holding to do a story arc of Disgaea)
*Be actually the primary fact of conlicts between the three Disgaea parties (Related to AIM/MSN chats)
*Be the Overlord! Of course. That will go just as the game noted on the chapter 6 (?) If you're willing to be the Maoran (Overlord in Japanese) you will have to actually persuade the whole Netherworld to your desires... this can be held by voting, by force
*By Voting: You like democratic voting? Then Netherworld might try to have a fair government, and this is the method to get it... there are candidates that will be put through the Dark Assembly and the one with the bigger difference of points will be the Overlord. I case of ties, the tied candidates will be hold to a votation in where the Netherworld will choose its governor.
*By force: Now we're speaking of Netherworld Effective Methods, this can be held of two ways
-Art Contest: Whoa... now this is difficult stuff.. the one with the best drawing wins. All of them held to the dark assembly in search of the bigger difference of yays over nays.
-Comic Strip Contest: Well... it's almost like the art Contest but it will be held to the dark Assembly to cause the most and longest laugh between them. Here, not only art is the need, but also an original gag and a good looking comic, of course, it has to be disgaea-related.
-Action Fight: What? Well, we'll put the wannabe overlods in a MSN/AIM chat to battle it out in real action, here is where the MP's and HP's will play an indispensable part. One of the staff member will be held as referee... and will tell, according to the way they fight, which one is the winner and how much HP amount he lost. Of course, this is a survival fight and the last standing will have it all. Further rules will be explained when the time comes (See you at the chats, Overlords).
-RPG Fight: This is a bit more Disgaea looking. The fight will be held in turns (action will no more play a role here) and the Referee, which can also be kind of a DM will tell, according to the mp's and hp's which one is the winner and with how much hp/mp. Again this is a matter of survivale, and to picture things, all the wannabe overlords are playing in the same board, so put yourself some courage and horse weiners and go fight it out.
*Important notes about RPG/Action Fights*
Pupils can enter the battle of the Overlords but will not achieve the Overlord's seat, they can fight as long as the mentor stands on, but if Overlord is out of Hp, the pupil will no longer be into play.
In the next Journal. The "Netherworld Rules" continue as we now head for the "You Cannot..." topic
